The Saudi Cable Company known by the trading name of SCC, is a market leader in the manufacture and marketing of power and telecom cables and related products. Established in January 1975 as a limited liability company with a capital of US$ 1 million, its was converted to a joint stock company in 1988 with a capital of US$ 72  million. The year 2002 saw it grow to a capital of US$ 165  million, with an annual turnover of US$ 400 million

The financial year of SCC coincides with the calendar year, and the company has employed Ernst and Young as their external auditors. The current equity profile indicates an authorized capital of 640 Million Saudi Riyals (US$ 165 million). 12,800,000 shares have been issued so far at a value of 50.00 Saudi Riyal (US$  13.33) per share. Company History

SCC was established in 1975 as a limited liability company with a capital of US$ 1 million. With the increase over the years the capital became US$ 72 million in 1988 when the company was converted into a stock corporation. The capital was further increased to US$ 80 million and then to US$ 133  million in 1998, and US$ 170 million in 2002.
