TOTAL TURNKEY SYSTEM SOLUTIONS

Saudi Cable Total Solution System is to provide customers with complete Total Turnkey System Solutions for energy and  telecommunications transmission and networks systems.  Total solution system services include design,  engineering, manufacturing, installation, testing and commissioning.  In many cases, this has also meant financial engineering, in order to provide our customer with Total Turnkey Solution Package.  This is one of the many ways that Saudi Cable Company Group satisfies customers and keeps them coming back again.  Our Total Solution Services are what differentiates Saudi Cable Group from other cable manufacturers.

One major example of Total Turnkey System Solutions is SCC Group’s  and Asia’s first and much praised Independent Power Plant (IPP), the 1200 Megawatt Hubco Power Project in Pakistan.  This project was jointly conceived by Xenel Industries and Saudi Cable Company in the late 1980’s.  This project was conceived through the urgent need of electrical energy in Pakistan, and was made possible through the financial engineering of SCC Group and Xenel Industries by means of  the co-financing of twenty international banks.  While most of the electrical power in Pakistan was Hydro Electrical Generated, there were years that low water levels meant that the electrical power generation was not sufficient, and at the time the existing co-generation plants were small and localized, which were not sufficient to provide for the demand.

SCC Group further identified the need for the connection of the Power Plant, which was conveniently located on the Arabian Sea, near the sources of fossil fuel, with the National Grid of Pakistan, whose closest main grid station was at Jamshoro on the Sind River, some 200 kilometers away.  This 110 million US Dollar project was also required financial engineering, which was arranged by SCC Group, through the co-operation of both the World Bank and the Islamic Development Bank   This complete Turnkey Solution Project consisted of the design, engineering, manufacturing, erection, testing and commissioning of  two (2) separate 500 kV Single Circuit Overhead Transmission Lines, which was successfully completed in 1996.

A second major example of Total Turnkey System Solutions was SCC Group’s new complete Backbone 225 kV Overhead Electrical Transmission Network for the Republic of Lebanon.  This project followed the end to the civil war in war torn Lebanon.   This project was conceived out of the urgent need for a complete transmission network in order to provide badly needed electrical power to various communities in the country.  The projects again required financial engineering, which was arranged by SCC Group on behalf of the Government, the Council for the Reconstruction and Development of Lebanon and Electricite de Liban (Lebanon)  for the Seven (7)   225 kV Overhead Transmission Lines, running the full length and breath of the country, from North & South to East & West crossing the high mountains in Lebanon.  The projects begun in 1999 and were completed in 2002.
