Began in 1975 by Xenel Industries, Anaconda and Chevron as a limited company with a capital of US$ 1  million, utilizing NKF, Philips, Nokia, and AT&T technologies, the capital grew to US$  72  million in 1988 when the company was converted to a stock corporation. The capital was further increased to US$ 165 million, with current annual turnover of $400 million.
