OIC exhibition reunites us as Xenel Group in Riyadh

The event of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) was promising as we participated with our Xenel Group including Xenel, Hidada, Natpet and Alujain amongst others. The event was inaugurated by the Governor of Riyadh; Prince Faisal bin Bandar AlSaud.

The event was an international exhibition for the members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The main benefits of the exhibition was to deepen the commercial bonds between the committee members and establish new market opportunities for the different industries. The Islamic centre for Development of Trade (ICDT) organized this event in coordination with the selected country authorities. The Exhibition took place in Riyadh, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 22 to 26 May 2016.

 

 

We have hosted our EWA partners to our factory

With further relations to strengthen our partnership ties, we have hosted our partners EWA from Bahrain for a two day comprehensive tour of our factory. The two day visit was successful as we embarked on a journey across our different offices and manufacturing facilities.

Furthermore after the tour, we showed them our cable inspection standards and presented a brief and concise technical seminar course that covers that details of our inspection process.

We were greatly sparked by their visit and we inspire for a stronger partnership

Our successful participation in Project Qatar – Doha

Saudi Cable Company showcased its product and services during the Project Qatar Exhibition held at Doha Exhibition & Convention Center (DECC)  on the 9th – 12th of May, 2016. Saudi Cable Company played a prominent role in the exhibition, where more than 32,000 unique visitors were present. It was the biggest event of the year with an approximate of 1,130 companies exhibiting covering a size of 41,500 SQM of exhibits. During the exhibition, Saudi Cable Company marked and celebrated their 41 anniversary as leading cable manufacturers in the Middle Eastern region and showed it’s consistency in the marketplace. As always, it was a successful exhibition for Saudi Cable Company with about 200 to 300 personnel’s visiting SCC’s booth. It was also an opportunity for the company to meet up with various industry experts through the B2B meetings conducted during the exhibition. The outcome of such events was productive with SCC receiving several direct enquiries from the client as well as new project references.

SCC EVENT – WORKSHOP ON  “RAISE YOUR STANDARDS”

Saudi Cable Company organized a special roadshow event for its employees to attend the launching of its updated strategy on 07th March 2016 at Hilton hotel in Jeddah.

The event was organized to include motivational speeches by the company’s executives and then was followed by a workshop titled “Raise Your Standards” conducted by the global trainer Dr. Rashad Fakiha. The workshop was conducted over two sessions, one in English and the other in Arabic for 3 hours each session. The aim of the workshop was to motivate, inspire the employees and to “raise their standards” to achieve company goals. All employees actively participated in the workshop as it transformed into a brain storming session. They all were engaged with one another in forms of groups and the group leaders presented the results, as directed by the global trainer. Positive career progress discussions drive the employee’s engagement higher by creating a dynamic workplace and continuous contribution from the employees to effectively gain the merits of this workshop and apply them on their professional careers and personal lives.

This initiative comes under the new Saudi Cable Company cultural values “ICARE”, where every individual employee is valued.

The sessions were presided by the EVP Commercial & Deputy President, Mr. Mohamed Ali Vaid. The company’s future strategy was further elaborated by Mr. Hesham Ismail, V.P. of Human Resources, Mr. Mohamed Talal Himdi, V.P. of Operations and Mr. Mazen Mohamed Abutalib, Director of Business Development & Marketing.

SCC´s power cable supply for Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City

SCC has been approved by the consultants AE7 for the supply of power cables for the projects of Meydan Sobha & Sohba Hartland in Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City – District One. This unrivalled city creates a vast green space at the heart of one of the most exciting cities on the planet today.

Meydan Sobha are developing MBR City / District One, which is located on the old camel track area in Nad Al Sheba adjacent to Meydan Grandstand and Diamond Business Park Area, Dubai, UAE. District One is located less than 3km (4 minutes driving distance) from the Burj Khalifa, with the Al Khail Road providing easy access not only to downtown Dubai but also to Dubai International Airport, Dubai World Trade Centre and DIFC.

 

SCC is the First Cable Manufacturer in Middle East to achieve ISO 9001:2015

Saudi Cable Achieves ISO 9001:2015 Certification, First Cable Manufacturer in Middle East to do so 

Saudi Cable Company is proud to announce the successful  achievement of accredited certification of ISO 9001:2015, the newly revised international standards for Quality Management Systems. With this achievement, Saudi Cable Company has become the first Cable Manufacturer in the Middle East region and only the second organization in Saudi Arabia to successfully pass this rigorous audit by Netherland based DNV-GL certification body.     

According to the auditor’s report, Saudi Cable Company had no non conformances and has an ‘outstanding’ management system.

ISO 9001 is the world’s most widely recognized standard for Quality Management Systems, and its latest revision was published on 23 September 2015. The standard helps organizations consistently meet the needs of customers and other key stakeholders in both the delivery and continuous improvement of products and services.

INVITES ITS SHAREHOLDERS TO ATTEND THE 41ST ORDINARY GENERAL ASSEMBLY (OGA) MEETING (FIRST MEETING)

The Board of Saudi Cable Company is pleased to invite the Shareholders of the Company owning 20 shares or more to attend the 41st Ordinary General Assembly Meeting which will be held in the Company’s industrial complex in Jeddah on Monday, 25-07-1437H corresponding to 02-05-2016G at 16:30 to consider the following agenda:

 

  1. Voting on the Board of Directors Report 2015.
  1. Voting on the final Financial Statements for the year ended 31 December 2015.
  1. Voting on the External Auditor’s Report for the financial year ended 31 December 2015.
  1. Voting on absolving the Directors from their responsibilities for the year ended 31 December 2015.
  1. Voting on the appointment of the External Auditors for auditing the company’s financial statements for the year 2016 and quarterly statements from among the auditors nominated by the Audit Committee and fix their fees.

There is no business conditions and previous decades.

Each Shareholder desires to attend the mentioned meeting shall present ID Card or Passport Copy and corroborating evidence of shares ownership and/or his proxies. Those who represent corporates should present copy of the CR that includes their names or a written Power of Attorney signed by someone whose name is included in the CR of the Company.

If the Shareholder is unable to attend in person, he may give a written authorization to attend the meeting on his behalf in favor of another Shareholder, who is not member of the Board of Directors or Employee of the Company, or those who are permanently assigned for a technical or advisory work of the Company; provided that the value of the issued proxies should not exceed 5% of the Company’s capital.

The Company requests the Shareholders to attend one hour prior to the meeting to complete the registration procedures.

The quorum of the first meeting is the attendance of Shareholders representing more than half of the Company’s capital.

The relevant proxies, in the format given below, should be duly attested by the Chamber of Commerce, Bank or the Company and sent to the address mentioned therein, at least, before two days prior to the meeting date. The Shareholders attending, either in person or by proxy, should also bring their ID Cards.

SIDF honored our company with their visit

Our partners from Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF) visited us recently to further strengthen the strong relationship and support provided to SCC. We hosted our prestigious partners in our corporate building for an interactive presentation about the progress we have made on our strategic goals and external business strategies. 

Following the interactive presentation, we set out for a comprehensive factory tour. The senior management of SIDF were impressed by the high standards of our manufacturing and quality process and by the level of commitment of our entire team across the factory. The tour extended from our cable manufacturing facilities to our final quality control and testing departments. Our forty years of heritage was evident in our level of expertise across our manufacturing and quality departments. 

We are very grateful to SIDF for their continuous and unwavering support of Saudi Cable Company and thank them for spending their valuable time with us during this visit.

Expanding our business network in Turkmenistan

Saudi Cable Company is grateful to have participated in an event organized by the Saudi Chamber of Commerce and Saudi Exports Development Authority (SEDA) hosted in Turkmenistan.

The event initiated by the Saudi Chamber of Commerce and SEDA aims at connecting Saudi exporters with potential buyers to increase the total number of exports in the Kingdom. We were greeted by the Saudi ambassador in Turkmenistan and the President of Turkmenistan, reassuring the importance of strengthening the business ties with the different resources and markets in the near future. 

A total of 46 Saudi companies participated in the Business event from various sectors. We were representing the cable industry and offering our different product lines to foreign businesses and B2B contractors.

We are thankful for the event organization led by the Chamber of Commerce in Saudi Arabia and SEDA for this opportunity to expand the our business network in foreign markets.
